Art Post XL - Catching up Dissolve: Finished my part of my and skywing's speed painting trade. I hope you like it in all its eye burning, unoriginal glory
When in doubt, draw smoke, swirlies, sparkles/glitter and/or shiny objects in general. International Internet Art Law, ยง5

I like this version better, but after Photoshop shut down on me twice after I was nearly done with it, I just accepted my fate and started a-new

Even more generic than the finished product. EPIC RUNNING DRAGON! Rar

there were more, but they kind of sucked
And just because I've been listening to The Magnetic Fields a lot lately and "Born on a Train" is an insanely good song and a great source of inspiration:
Some roads are only seen at night. Ghost roads, nothing but neon signs. But some nights the neon gas gets free- Turns into walking dead like me.
And I've been makin' promises I know I'll never keep. One of these days I'm gonna leave you in your sleep. I have to go when the whistle blows- The whistle knows my name. Baby, I was born on a train.
I know that you were never young, And I know you probably won't get old. But honey, nobody's gonna hurt you anymore. And nobody's gonna make you wanna die.
But I've been makin' promises I know I'll never keep. One of these days I'm gonna leave you in your sleep. I have to go when the whistle blows- The whistle knows my name. Baby, I was born on a train.
I'll go one cold and gray morning. And you won't remember anything. But some people don't believe in time. And some of us don't believe in life.
But I've been makin' promises I know I'll never keep. One of these days I'm gonna leave you in your sleep. I have to go when the whistle blows- The whistle knows my name. Baby, I was born on a train...
Baby, I was born on a train...

You use such beautiful colors and textures, I can never get over it. The first one has sort of a neat mythological-esque feel to it, and the colors/lighting in it are gorgeous. Also like the second one, too, the composition is lovely; the fact that he/she/it's looking away really draws the viewer in and adds a lot of visual depth. Coolcool stuff (as always, I'm so enjoying your art blog ♥ ).
Thanks, dude! I'm glad some find it enjoyable :D
crazysmoke! I like it, though!
I hate how photoshop decides our ultimate fate now and again. It's a jerk like that :/
I know, I know. When I first started out I thought Photoshop was my bitch. Now Photoshop is my god, and Photoshop is, somehow, included in the theory of everything. I'm kind of scared
Oh shit! Those are all really awesome. LOVE the first one.
i think the 2nd one down is gorgeous. the perspective is really well done, and im loving the purple grass :3 i also really like how your highlights are so vivid, sharp, and INYOFAYCE. in a good way, of course.
i really like those lyrics. damn my school for disabling limewire -.- do you have a place where i can find it?
haha i knew that was a stupid question. dun make fun ;_;
and icon ftw. i read that entry with the pictures you posted of it. hilarious XD
man you may call them generic but in reality they are all crazy dynamic and just all around awesome

Whoa, woman. I truly cannot speak highly enough of the concentrated awesome that is contained in your shell of crazycool.
These are so gorgeous. I peeked this morning and my fingers weren't nearly coherent enough to express the pure joy these evoked (the COLOURS man. Your colours are like crack).
Damn you for your ability to be so prolific; you improve so quickly. I love all of these. Thanks muchly for the trade!
And ooh, that splash of warm orange on the belly could not get more cool.
Oh man. Thanks for the nice comment! I'm very glad you liked it-- actually, I'm more relieved than anything, heh |
