Someone, and I do not remember who, challenged me to do something monochromic instead of the usual colour-rape seen in my art. Well, at least I tried

That first one, that monochrome work stuffed with birds? is one of the finest things I've seen you produce. It's fantastic. One of my favourites, I think, for sure. Wow.

I like it too, it was very spontaneous and meant to be just another technicolour doodle inspired by Rob Lauro Goring, but I kind of kept working on it and ended up with this. I even wrote a short story to accompany it, hurr

Your art is usually so "Wow! Pretty!" that I've fallen out of the habit of commenting because I'd always just say the same thing (and you've got quite the herd of fans already to do that).

But I just had to comment and say "Wow, that's really *REALLY* pretty!" in regards to the Heron like dude in the first picture. The glasses! The cigarette holder! The colors! And the fact that none of the the other critters have accessories...

It's just.... It's just a really damn good picture.

Oh my lord, I'm actually in love with the first bird painting. The texture and colours are amazing, especially on the owl with the slightly watery eyes. Ugh, it's so beautiful. If you ever sell prints of it, please let me know. :c You don't mind if I print it off to stick on my corckboard do you? Ahhh, you're so bloody talented.

That first painting is just... beautiful. Just everything about it - they have so much character as it is but there's that perfect blend of detail and softness that you achieve so amazingly to embellish it. I am inspired. =D

Monochromatic suggestion? That was me, I believe!! :D Not that it matters too much, I just get a little secret glee all for myself now because that is seriously one of the best artworks I've seen from you.

I absolutely love the result and am very, very pleased with the various birds and expressions and ambiguous story that took place. Owl tears! Ahhh! Poor owl!

It looks so baroque, kinda like it was a painting that was doused with varnish and aged over the years.

Really? Thank you so much, I finally drew something for myself only and it feels great!

I love the stymfalo (if that's how it's called/written) style and while I don't believe it's possible to make it look like that on the computer, I'd absolutely love to be able to paint like that someday
